I visited South Africa at a time of change with apartheid finished and Nelson Mandela having handed on power. I saw the dangerous city of Johanesburg, walked through Soweto, visited Motswari Private Game Reserve, Kruger National Park, Pretoria, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Knysna and Capetown including Robben Island where Mandela was incarcerated and Stellenbosch, and important grape growing and wine making region.
