While I've been to Perth for work trips, I particularly enjoyed a trip to Broome because of the unique history of this city. Broome is renowned for pearls and diving. The city also has a very old outdoor cinema and some spectacular landscapes nearby. Fremantle was also a great spot to explore with the new Maritime Museum, home to Australia II, the first boat to take the America's cup away from the USA in over 100 years.
