The French-speaking island of Martinique is a place I'd like to go back and spend more time at. St Pierre is a lot like Pompei, a city damaged by volcanic eruption with people returning to build a life out of the ruins. There are the rum distilleries and the lush jungles. A vibrant place, it would be great to return.
